When you hire a party bus, the ultimate goal is to get wherever you need to and have a wonderful time doing it.
However, as every party is slightly different, our fleet of party coaches varies from luxury executive vehicles designed to ferry you to wherever the party is going with as many comforts and amenities as we can offer, to those which allow the coach itself to be a party destination in itself.
To that end, we will tailor what we can to meet the needs of your party, and let you know what you can and cannot do whilst on the move. Most of those rules are common sense, but they are usually important to have in writing to ensure you have the best time possible and are aware of what might be less safe whilst on the move.
However, there are a few rules that are more implicit but no less important. Here are some of the biggest and why they matter.
The biggest rule of all, and often implicit in any of the written rules of travel, is to respect the driver. After all, they are taking you to your destination, they ensure that you have a comfortable ride, and they can often make recommendations for routes or places to stop at.
There are multiple dimensions to this respect; whilst obviously it is important to ask if you need anything and saying thanks is always a particularly lovely gesture, the best way to show respect is to not let the party bus get too out of control.
Make sure that you do not leave too much of a mess, do not throw around anything difficult to clean, such as glitter, and keep the music at a level that allows the driver to concentrate.
As is always the case, respect is a two-way street; the better you treat the driver, the better they will treat you.
Unlike a regular bus or scheduled coach, where it is strictly illegal to drink alcohol, private hire coaches typically allow passengers to drink on them, much like how passengers in a car are allowed to drink within reason.
However, not every party bus will allow drinking, and most coaches and drivers will have different rules for what is acceptable.
In general, you should only drink from cans or plastic containers to avoid any safety hazards, drink in moderation and try not to make too much of a mess to avoid additional damages being charged later.
When you book a party bus with us, know how many people are coming and err on the side of a bigger bus if you think you might have some last-minute people to add.
The worst possible scenario is that everyone gets to the coach, and it is not big enough to fit everyone comfortably. A driver will typically not set off if there are fewer seats than there are people, which can be quite awkward.
Instead, book ahead and let us know if there are any people who need to join so we can arrange a bigger party bus.
In general, it is best to remain seated whilst the coach is moving around, but if you need to grab anything or move around to talk to other guests on the party bus, make sure to hold onto a rail, handle or other secure part of the bus whilst it is moving around to make sure you do not get jostled around.
It is fun to mingle around, but it is far less enjoyable to be thrown around. Use your best judgment and listen to the driver if they tell you to sit down or prepare for a bumpy ride. Think of it like how you would sit down on a flight if turbulence is expected.
As famed philosophers William S Preston Esq and Theodore Logan put it, “Be excellent to each other!” and “Party on, dudes!”
The secret to a great journey is the right attitude beforehand, and going into a party bus looking to enjoy yourself, chat to friends, sing along to the playlist and enjoy yourself when you reach your destination will all help you make a good night a great one and leave tons of lasting memories.
